PRINCIPAL ECOLOGIST
Thor is a biologist with an emphasis in watershed ecosystems. He has led field teams for NASA’s Systems Integration and Visualization of Yellowstone and NASA’s Satellite Irrigation Management Support. Additionally, Thor has led field teams for water quality projects in California and for wildland restoration projects along California’s central coast. He managed visual production for interpretive products for Canyon Visitor Center in Yellowstone National Park. He teaches an ecology/geology course at CSU Monterey Bay called California Transect. Thor supports CSU Monterey Bay’s Division of Science and Environmental Policy by giving guest lectures and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students with their thesis work.
In his spare time Thor enjoys hanging out and going camping with his family. He has been participating in triathlons for 20 years, completing nearly 100 races. He also coaches a youth soccer team.
