Habitat Restoration

Burleson’s restoration team provides habitat restoration planning, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance for large and small-scale projects. Our multidisciplinary team specializes in resolving ecological challenges, using site-specific information, and material to restore ecosystems back to their native state. Burleson has accomplished successful restoration projects within diverse habitats including maritime chaparral, coastal sage scrub, bunch-grasslands, coastal sand dune, riparian, wetlands, woodlands, vernal pools, and desert ecosystems

WE HAVE A NATIVE PLANT NURSERY! Located in Carmel Valley, California, the ideal location to propagate quality California native plants and seed. The nursery also provides our staff with quality control and ability to implement strict pathogen/contamination controls, plant genetic selection, light, and water application to promote the proper propagation needs of each species/variety. We can supply site-specific products from local geographical regions and climates that are better suited for sustained survivorship, if requested. Our firm has also set up large scale seed production plots with seed producers to obtain large quantities of specific seed.
