Burleson's biologists, archeologists, environmental planners, engineers, geologists, and regulatory specialists have experience in a myriad of environmental programs. Burleson first assesses new clients' needs to determine the level of effort required to achieve compliance.

Burleson has completed Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Initial Studies (IS) and Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). We were instrumental in preparing an Application for Certification (AFC) for a power plant expansion in northern California in accordance with California Energy Commision (CEC) requirements.

Burleson's biologists and archeologists completed more than 1,200 miles of surveys through California and Oregon to support an EA for transmission line maintenance. Burleson prepared the EIS and Supplemental EIS and EIR for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for transmission lines through northern and central California. We have completed numerous Inital Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) documents for Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) projects.

Our staff has worked with industries to ensure that air emissions, hazardous material and waste handling, and wastewater discharges meet local, state, and federal requirements.

We encourage routine environmental compliance audits to assess a facility's status. We discuss a strategic approach that meets our clients' needs financially while meeting regulatory requirements to protect human health and the environment.

Burleson provides these services in a cost-effective manner so that our clients stay in compliance with ever-changing environmental regulations.
